Lufthansa’s global network is the point of departure for Cerith Wyn Evans’ light installation. Just as the different routes fan out in a global network right across the continents, in Wyn Evans’ work Lufthansa’s destinations form a web of light points suspended like a giant chandelier in one of the atriums. The structure is defined not so much by the departure and arrival points but by the journey time – and the time spent travelling through an immaterial place becomes a luminous signal in the open space.
